As a health care professional with over 35 years of experience advancing from a RN/BSN degree to becoming a Physician Assistant, I have seen many patients who have felt hopeless and frustrated with their healthcare results. They were wanting more for their body’s healing; physically, emotionally, and mentally but they were not looking for another medication. It was discouraging personally and professionally to witness the struggle that my patients were experiencing. At the time, I was also experiencing similar physical and emotional struggles in my own life and just like my patients, my doctor was doing her best but I too was not getting answers to the questions I was seeking.

Although I do not blame my healthcare provider, alternative healing suggestions were never brought to my attention as an option for my healthcare. It is common to not be informed of alternative options for patients to seek out for healing because that is not in their scope of medicine from the Western Medicine field. However, five years ago I stumbled upon a program who sought out alternative professionals to talk and present their topics and areas of expertise.  I would selectively pick and listen to topics that resonated with me for my own self healing. Deep down I knew that I couldn’t help others if I was not healed, I wanted to work on ME to create my best self for my patients. I was in search of guidance to help me change my physical and emotional symptoms safely, without drugs or side effects and compliment my ongoing healing with my healthcare provider.

During one of many programs I invested in, I listened to a topic about the healing benefits of light therapy for all areas of the body. The more I listened to the educator, the more I realized that there is tremendous benefit in this topic called pulsed Low Level Light Therapy and the healing properties they provide by using Light to assist me in healing my body. Instantly, I was hooked. I purchased a Light Therapy system from a reputable company and never looked back. Several weeks later after using the system, I was seeing real results and needed to learn more. I enrolled in a Light therapy certification course to learn as much as I could about the healing properties of Light Therapy that provided me with factual science based research to help me better understand the structure behind Light as a healing mechanism for my body.

My top reasons why you should try pulsed Low Level Light Therapy:

1.     Promotes Relaxation, both mentally & emotionally. Eases muscle tension, specifically behind the neck and across the shoulders, thus reducing intensity of pain and physical discomfort.

2.     Reduces inflammation around the joints in the body relieving continuous ongoing pain and discomfort that is not relieved by medications alone. Ex: shoulder, knees, ankles, back pain etc.

3.     Cellular healing in the body, FDA cleared to Increase Circulation and reduce inflammation in the body.

Take it from someone who made the change from Western Medicine into the wonderful world of Integrative healthcare,
